Lisa Vega holds a B.S. in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State University San Marcos, along with 28 units in Child Development. Her background includes experience as a preschool teacher and director. Before becoming a teacher, she earned an A.A. in Marketing.
Lisa has been with JCS since 2012, where she has taught grades 3-6 and pioneered our first classroom-based TK program. This year marks her fifth year teaching TK. She is passionate about fostering a lifelong love of learning in her students, and creating a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. Lisa affectionately refers to her students as her “classroom kiddos” and takes the time to get to know each one as an individual.
A Southern California native from North County, Lisa lives with her husband and two children. She enjoys animals and traveling with her family.
